BC Food & Beverage is proud to manage the BC Food Hub Network, a province-wide network of regional food hubs that help food and beverage businesses innovate, commercialize, and grow.
Created through funding from the Province of British Columbia, the network strengthens food processing capacity by connecting businesses with regional facilities and expertise across the province. Funding for this year is provided by the governments of Canada and British Columbia through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative.
Every hub is unique, reflecting the needs of its region and community, but they all share one common goal: making it easier for entrepreneurs, processors and producers to access the resources they need to succeed.
What is a Food Hub?
A food hub is a shared-use commercial food processing facility that provides businesses with affordable access to production space, specialized equipment, technical expertise, and business support.
Instead of investing hundreds of thousands of dollars in facilities and equipment before you’re ready, food hubs allow businesses to test, launch, scale, and innovate with less risk.
Whether you’re an emerging entrepreneur or an established processor or producer looking to expand capacity, food hubs are designed to support businesses through their next stage of growth.
