BC Food & Beverage Announces Changes to its Board of Directors, Executive

BC Food & Beverage (BCFB) is pleased to announce the addition of four new members of the Board of Directors: Ivy Leong of Fresh Direct Produce, Courtenay Lewis of Direct Plus Deli Group, Matt Cimon of Portofino Bakery, and Alyssa Lasser of Lass Chance Beverages. These announcements were made at BCFB’s 19th Annual General Meeting on June 26th, 2024.
These new appointments will replace outgoing Directors Len Spencer, Lyndsay Scott and Nicky Shaw. ‘It’s always challenging to replace the leadership and experience provided our outgoing Directors, who contributed so much to our Association’ said James Donaldson, CEO of BCFB. ‘We had a tremendous response to our Call for Directors with a record 46 applicants, and we’re excited about the additions of Ivy, Courtenay, Matt and Alyssa’.
Additionally, the BCFB Board of Directors also appointed a new Executive Committee., and Azeem Ahamed of Elias Honey was elected as Vice Chair, while Sherrin Western of Shervin Communications was appointed as Secretary. Rounding out the Executive Committee is Kirk Homenick of Naturally Homegrown Foods as Chair; Jasmine Byrne, Big Mountain Foods as Vice Chair, Leo Wilson, Partner, KPMG as Treasurer, and Steve MacIntyre, Fine Choice Foods as Past Chair.
‘The commitment of a dedicated and engaged Board of Directors is vital to the continued development of BC Food & Beverage.’ Said Chair Kirk Homenick. ‘I look forward to the perspective our new Directors will bring to the Board, as our Association continues to grow and evolved under James’ leadership.’
